“After a little while the world will no longer see Me, but you will see Me; BECAUSE I 1LIVE, YOU WILL LIVE ALSO. “In that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.” (John 14:19-20) 1zaō: to have true life, this is eternal life… Christ reassures His followers that faith in Him is faith in God. To know Christ is to know “the way, and the truth, and the life” (John 14:6). The words, actions, and miracles of Jesus should give Christians confidence to trust that He will make good on His promises. Among those are His guarantee that He is PREPARING TO COME FOR US, so we can be where He is. Jesus also predicts the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. This is only available to believers, and the Holy Spirit acts TO GUIDE, TEACH, AND REMIND US. Both for the disciples, and for future Christians, these words are meant to be comforting during hard times. Since Christ knew, in advance, what would happen, we can be even more confident to trust Him.
In order for Christ to be seen in us we must acknowledge “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but CHRIST LIVES IN ME. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.” (Gal. 2:20)
We must be very sure about Christ being in us… “TEST YOURSELVES to see if you are in the faith; EXAMINE YOURSELVES! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, THAT JESUS CHRIST IS IN YOU–-unless indeed you fail the test?” (2 Corin. 13:5)
We must be absolutely sure that Christ is in us and that our lives belong to Him!!! “…IF CHRIST IS IN YOU, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness.” (Rom. 8:10)
OH JESUS CHRIST, I WANT YOU TO BE SO ALIVE IN ME…
