YOU GIVE THEM SOMETHING…

Jesus, when He came out, saw a great multitude, and was MOVED WITH COMPASSION for them, because they were like sheep NOT HAVING A SHEPHERD (that is their condition today and will be their condition when the rapture happens). So, He began to teach them many things. When the day was now far spent, His disciples came to Him and said, “This is a deserted place, and already the hour is late. Send them away, that they may go into the surrounding country and villages and buy themselves bread; for they have nothing to eat.” But Jesus answered and said to them, YOU GIVE THEM SOMETHING TO EAT.” And they said to Him, “Shall we go and buy TWO HUNDRED DENARII ($11,000 todays money) worth of bread and give them something to eat?” But He said to them, “How many loaves do you have? Go and see.” And when they found out they said, “Five loaves, and two fish.” (Mark 6:34-38)

This is the perfect opportunity for Jesus to demonstrate what HE WILL DO THROUGH US when we submit to Him. Then Jesus commanded them to all sit down in groups on the green grass. So, they sat down in ranks, in hundreds and in fifties. And when He had taken the five loaves and the two fish, He looked up to heaven, blessed and broke the loaves, and GAVE THEM TO HIS DISCIPLES to set before them; and the two fish He divided among them all.(Mark 6:39-41)

Jesus prayed over the bread and fish, but it DID NOT MULTIPLY when He gave it to the disciples! NO, it didn’t multiply until the disciples BEGAN TO PASS IT OUT, they could have decided to eat their portion first and it would have been all gone. So, they all ate and were filled. And they took up twelve baskets full of fragments and of the fish. Now those who had eaten the loaves were about FIVE THOUSAND MEN.(Mark 6:42-44) There could have been as many as 20,000 people that ate the bread and fish. The disciples said to Jesus, “Our fathers ate the manna in the desert; as it is written, ‘HE GAVE THEM BREAD FROM HEAVEN TO EAT.'” Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, Moses did not give you the bread from heaven, but MY FATHER GIVES YOU the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.” Then they said to Him, “Lord, give us this bread always.” And Jesus said to them,I AM THE BREAD OF LIFE. He who comes to Me SHALL NEVER HUNGER, and he who believes in Me SHALL NEVER THIRST.(John 6:31-35)
