“Blessed are those who keep His statutes and seek Him with all their heart— they do no wrong but follow His ways.” (Psa. 119:2-3)
The word of God is the only physical thing we have to understand the WILL and the WAY of God. The more we read and meditate on God’s Word and then obey all that’s written in the Word, then we should seek God with our WHOLE HEART, that will cause us to make less mistakes because we choose to be guided by God through His Word.
HIS WORD TELLS US THIS:
- We are blessed if we 1keep His 2statutes: 1nâtsar: to guard, watch over. 2‛êdâh: rulings, orders. We are to guard and keep watch over God’s rulings, His teachings, so they are not changed.
- We are blessed if we seek God with our whole heart: “…do not worry, about what you shall eat, drink or wear…But SEEK FIRST the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” (Matt. 6:31-33)
- We are blessed if we read and meditate on God’s Word: “May the words of my mouth and the 3MEDITATION OF MY HEART be pleasing to you, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer.” (Psa. 19:14) 3siyach: consider, put forth thoughts. “Help me understand the meaning of your commandments, and I will MEDITATE ON YOUR WONDERFUL DEEDS.” (Psa. 119:27)
- We are blessed if we obey all that’s written in the Word: Jesus said, “If you love me, obey my commandments.” (John 14:15) “I plead with you, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.” (Rom. 12:1)
