WILL, WE’RE JOYFULLY DOING GOD’S WILL!

“This, then, is how you should pray: “‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be YOUR NAME, YOUR KINGDOM come, YOUR WILL be done…’” (Matt. 6:9-10)

It is ALL about our Heavenly Father WILL! When Jesus was faced with being beaten and subject to dying on the cross, He prayed this: “Nevertheless, NOT my will, but YOURS, be done.” (Luke 22:42) So, for an example for us as to how we should pray, no matter the consequences – NOT MY WILL BUT YOUR WILL BE DONE! When we sincerely come to God with this attitude, HE WILL reveal His will to us! He may choose to reveal the whole picture to us or just what our next step will be. Our reaction must be obedience, this demonstrates our love for God and shows Him that WE TRUST HIM! “…Samuel replied, “WHAT PLEASES THE LORD MORE? Burnt offerings and sacrifices, or OBEYING HIM? IT IS BETTER TO OBEY than to offer a sacrifice. It is better TO DO WHAT HE SAYS…” (1 Sam. 15:22) We live is an age when we can ask “Google” any question and very often get an intelligent answer, but what will God instruct us to do? “Trust in the LORD with ALL YOUR HEART and lean (depend) not on YOUR OWN understanding…” (Prov. 3:5) There is a way that SEEMS RIGHT to a man, But its end is THE WAY OF DEATH. (Prov. 14:12) Why? Because it is NOT the way of the Lord.

Then the Word goes on to say: “in all your ways WILL 1SUBMIT TO HIM, and he will MAKE YOUR PATHS STRAIGHT.” (Prov. 3:6) 1yâda‛: to observe, to encounter, to experience, to fully know. This is so important because the Lord God Almighty wants US TO FULLY KNOW HIM, our TRUSTING and OBEYING Him will accomplish thisThe best way for us to accomplish this is to, “…SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which TESTIFY OF ME.” (John 5:39) The Scriptures are plain and clear in everything necessary for salvation. I have chosen the WAY OF TRUTH; I have laid Your judgments before me. (Psa. 119:30) Your Words are a treasure in a mine, to be found by DIGGING AND PAINSTAKINGLY PONDERING EVERY WORD and sentence. No word in Scripture is expressed IN VAIN OR RANDOMLY; IT IS ALL DIVINE. We search it by considering it in the light of the overall meaning and purpose of Scripture. We compare one part of Scripture with another and examine how they depend upon each other. We must do this in HUMBLE AND SOLE DEPENDENCE UPON GOD. These are like priceless treasure, which will enrich us in this life and for ALL eternity!!!
