“I waited patiently for the LORD TO HELP ME; He TURNED TO ME, and HEARD my cry. He also BROUGHT ME UP out of a horrible pit, Out of the miry clay, And SET MY FEET upon a rock…” (Psa. 40:1-3) So, when we call out to God, IN FAITH, to help us, “Call to me and I WILL ANSWER YOU and TELL YOU great and mighty things you do not know.” (Jer. 33:3) HE WILL help us!
Will the Lord always help us? Yes, IF… we come to Him IN FAITH! “…without faith IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PLEASE GOD, because anyone who comes to Him must BELIEVE that HE EXISTS and that HE REWARDS those who earnestly SEEK HIM.” (Heb. 11:6)
OK, how do we increase our faith? FIRST OF ALL, a man brought his son, who was demon possessed, to Jesus and said “I brought You my son, who has a mute spirit…if You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us.” Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE to him who believes…Immediately the father cried out, “Lord, I believe; HELP MY UNBELIEF!” (Mark 9:23-24) We need to pray for our UNBELIEF!
So, pray that prayer! SECONDLY, “…faith comes by hearing, and hearing by THE WORD OF GOD.” (Rom. 10:17) Faithfully read and study the Word of God and faith will increase!!! Because, “…the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It EXPOSES OUR INNERMOST THOUGHTS AND DESIRES.” (Heb. 4:12)
