Many skeptics around the globe like to proclaim that God has rejected the People of Israel and that Israel has been rebirthed BY MAN, NOT GOD. Yet, we find in Scripture that God never intended to reject His People forever: “You, Israel, My servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, Descendant of Abraham My friend, you whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called from its remotest parts and said to you, ‘You are My servant, I HAVE CHOSEN YOU and NOT REJECTED YOU.” (Isaiah 41:9)
Then God said through His prophet Amos: “I will BRING BACK my exiled people Israel; they will REBUILD the ruined cities and live in them. They will PLANT vineyards and drink their wine; they will MAKE GARDENS and eat their fruit. I will plant Israel IN THEIR OWN LAND, NEVER AGAIN to be uprooted from the land I have given them.” (Amos 9:14–15)
Part of Israel that the Lord in His wisdom is restoring to life is the NEGEV, occupying about half of all Israeli territory. This ancient desert land is even more lifeless than other parts of Israel. In fact, it was not worked much even in Bible days. Now the desert is turning into a blossoming garden, to the Word of God. Hundreds of miles of water pipes are being laid with the help of machinery imported from the United States, and foundations of new houses are being laid constantly.
“The fields that used to lie empty (in Negev) and desolate in plain view of everyone will AGAIN BE FARMED. And when I BRING YOU BACK, people will say, ‘This former wasteland is now like THE GARDEN OF EDEN!” (Ezek. 36:34-35)
What effect does this have on us? WE CAN BE ASSURED THAT NOTHING CAN KEEP GOD’S PROMISES FROM BEING FULFILLED IN OUR OWN LIVES!!!
