“You did not choose me, but I CHOSE YOU and APPOINTED YOU so that you might GO AND BEAR FRUIT—fruit that will last—and so that WHATEVER YOU ASK in my name THE FATHER WILL GIVE YOU.” (John 15:16) We might examine ourselves, “What does the Lord want me to do? Have I been obedient to the calling on my life? Am I willing to set aside my personal ambition to focus on what the Lord has called me to do?”
“He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until WE ALL ATTAIN to the UNITY OF THE FAITH, and of the KNOWLEDGE of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the FULLNESS OF CHRIST.” (Eph. 4:11-13) Again we may ask, “Who is God shaping me to be?” and “What is God preparing me to do?”
So we, “will no longer be IMMATURE LIKE CHILDREN. We won’t be TOSSED AND BLOWN ABOUT by every wind of new doctrine. We will not be INFLUENCED when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth. Instead, we will SPEAK THE TRUTH IN LOVE, growing in every way MORE AND MORE LIKE CHRIST, who is the head of His body, the church. He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As EACH PART does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is HEALTHY AND GROWING AND FULL OF LOVE (not just any kind of love but agapē: God’s love).” (Eph. 4:14-16)
DO THIS AND NO MORE BEING TOSSED AND BLOWN AROUND BY FALSE DOCTRINE BUT WE WILL BE ROOTED AND GROUNDED IN LOVE…
