“1BEHOLD, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will COME IN TO HIM and dine with him, and he with Me.” (Rev. 3:20) 1ἰδού: listen now, pay attention! This is God the Son, we are His creation, why does He have to knock? Because God honors our will!!! “…the Spirit and the bride say, Come...let him who thirsts come. And WHOSOEVER WILL, let him take the WATER OF LIFE FREELY.” (Rev. 22:17)
In this time that we are living in, it is so easy to become distracted. We are no longer living is a “G” rated society (The Barna Group interviewed American teens, young adults and older adults.) For example,
- 62% of teens and young adults have received a sexually explicit image and 41% have sent one (usually from/to their boy/girlfriend or friend).
- Six in 10 young adults (57%) seek out porn on a regular basis.
I am not going any further with this because it is discouraging. The Bible tells us, “DO NOT love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love (agapē) of the Father IS NOT IN HIM (We cannot agapē the world and the Father). For all that is in the world—the lust (desiring what is forbidden) of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is NOT OF THE FATHER but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God ABIDES FOREVER.” (1 John 2:15-17)
