“…I AM NOW CONTROLLED BY THE LAW OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. Christ Jesus has…set me free from the law of sin that brings death…OUR SINFUL NATURE NO LONGER CONTROLS THE WAY WE LIVE. THE HOLY SPIRIT NOW CONTROLS THE WAY WE LIVE…Live under the control of the Holy Spirit. If you do, you will think about what the Spirit wants.” (Rom. 8:1-5)
We were created to live for and serve God! We can chose the only true and living God or the god of this world, “…the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see…the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” (2 Corin. 4:4). We may think that we will know if the devil is trying to side track us but all through the bible we see where, time and time again, God’s people fell under the spell of the god of this world and turned away from the only true and living God. So, how do we keep from falling under the devil’s spell?
“But you, beloved, BUILDING YOURSELVES UP IN YOUR MOST HOLY FAITH, PRAYING IN THE HOLY SPIRIT, KEEP YOURSELVES IN THE LOVE OF GOD, eagerly awaiting the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to everlasting life.” (Jude 1:20-21)
