“For UNTO US A CHILD IS BORN, UNTO US A SON IS GIVEN; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, MIGHTY GOD, EVERLASTING FATHER, PRINCE OF PEACE. Of the increase of HIS GOVERNMENT AND PEACE THERE WILL BE NO END…The zeal of the Lord of hosts WILL PERFORM THIS.” (Isaiah 9:6-7) Isaiah prophesied this about 700 years before the birth of Christ, notice it says His name will be “MIGHTY GOD…” Paul teaches us that Jesus is, “…THE IMAGE OF THE INVISIBLE GOD…For by Him ALL THINGS WERE CREATED…in Him all things consist.” (Col. 1:15-17) So, yes HE IS MIGHTY GOD THE SON creator of all things.
John says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and THE WORD WAS GOD (God the Son). The same was in the beginning with God. ALL THINGS WERE MADE BY HIM…And THE WORD BECAME FLESH and dwelt among us…the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:1-3, 14)
Another name Isaiah called Jesus was “EVERLASTING FATHER…” Well, Jesus made this statement, to the Jews to verify who He was to the Father, “I and My Father ARE ONE.” (John 10:30) This scripture, which has been removed from many translations, non-the-less, is the Word of God, also bears witness to what Jesus said, “FOR THERE ARE THREE THAT BEAR WITNESS IN HEAVEN: THE FATHER, THE WORD, AND THE HOLY SPIRIT; AND THESE THREE ARE ONE.”(1 John 5:7)
