“…I WILL BUILD my church. The gates of hell will not be strong enough to destroy it.” (Matt. 16:18) On MARCH 16 2020 5:21 PM EDT President Donald Trump announced a strict set of guidelines for Americans to follow for the next 15 days to try to “slow the spread” of the coronavirus. The suggestions include encouraging people to “avoid social gatherings (such as having church) in groups of more than 10 people,” as well as avoiding “eating or drinking in bars, restaurants and food courts.” April 14, 2020 President Trump reversed his position, saying “the governors are responsible” and “have to take charge.” “Then I will bring them to my holy mountain of Zion. I will give them joy in my house. They can pray there. My house will be called a HOUSE OF PRAYER for all nations.“ (Isa. 56:7)
So, as a result many governors have not allowed churches to reopen. “Some governors have deemed liquor stores and abortion clinics as essential, but have LEFT OUT churches and other houses of worship,” President Trump said. “It’s not right. So, I’m correcting this injustice and calling houses of worship essential.” Jesus says, “The thief (devil) does not come except to STEAL, and to KILL, and to DESTROY. I have come that they MAY HAVE LIFE, and that they may have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10) The devil wants STEAL our faith by isolating us and KILL our confidence and trust in God then DESTROY our relationship with God. Jesus tells the He has come so we may have LIFE (zōē: absolute fullness of life which belongs to God) and have it abundantly, (perissos: over and above, more than is necessary).
Whatever the devil tries to take away Jesus gives us so much more!!!
