“…God worked UNUSUAL MIRACLES by the hands of Paul, so that even HANDKERCHIEFS OR APRONS WERE BROUGHT FROM HIS BODY TO THE SICK, and THE DISEASES LEFT THEM AND THE EVIL SPIRITS WENT OUT OF THEM. Then some Jewish exorcists…called the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, “We exorcise you by the Jesus whom Paul preaches…the evil spirit answered and said, “JESUS I KNOW, AND PAUL I KNOW; BUT WHO ARE YOU?” (Acts 19:11-15) Then the man with the evil spirit leaped on them, overpowered them, and overcame them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.
We talk about God’s great power but we see little evidence of it. I hear many Christians today saying things like, “This is the way it was done in the early Church and we should be doing this now”. Even though I agree that we should be following and getting back to the examples of the early Church leaders that we have gotten away from, I still find myself wondering, “Where Has All The Power Gone?” Does God do things different today? Has God’s power diminished over the past two thousand years? Has God just abandoned us? I think we can all agree that the answer to all of these questions is NO! Here is Scripture proof…
