Allegiance is the loyalty that we as Christians owe to our Lord. Israel DID NOT have this loyalty to the Lord, “Woe to the sinful nation, a people whose guilt is great, a brood of evildoers, children given to corruption! They have FORSAKEN THE LORD; they have spurned the Holy One of Israel and TURNED THEIR BACKS ON HIM.” (Isa. 1:4) “…they continued to sin against God, rebelling in the wilderness against the Most High…for they DID NOT BELIEVE IN GOD or trust in His deliverance.” (Psa. 78:17, 22)
Paul tells us that, “Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is SET ON EARTHLY THINGS. But OUR CITIZENSHIP IS IN HEAVEN. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables Him to bring everything under His control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like HIS GLORIOUS BODY.” (Phil. 3:19-21) When Pilate asked the Jews “What shall I do, then, with Jesus who is called the Messiah?” Pilate asked.” The Jews there all cried out, “Crucify Him!” (Matt. 27:22)
Jesus was teaching His disciples AMY, “So when YOU SEE (they will see it, we won’t) standing in the holy place ‘the ABOMINATION THAT CAUSES DESOLATION,’ spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand— then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.” (Matt. 24:15-16)
This happens in the middle of the tribulation (31/2 years in). The Holy Spirit along with the Church, will be in Heaven at the marriage supper during this time of tribulation. Remember what the scripture says, “And now you know what is HOLDING HIM BACK (the anti-christ), so that he may be revealed at the proper time. For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but THE ONE WHO NOW HOLDS IT BACK (the Holy Spirit) will continue to do so till He is TAKEN OUT OF THE WAY (the rapture). And then the lawless one will BE REVEALED, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of His mouth and destroy by the splendor of His coming.” (2 Thess. 2:6-8)
