Yesterday I asked the question, where is Jesus? What I’m asking you today is “In your relationship with Jesus, WHERE ARE YOU?”
REMEMBER THESE EVENTS IN YOUR LIFE AIDAN;
- CHRIST FORGAVE YOUR SINS: “In Him we have redemption (apolutrōsis: deliverance by the payment of a ransom) through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace…”(Eph. 1:7). When you trusted Christ for the forgiveness of your sin, all your sins were forgiven… past, present and future. What difference do you think it makes to know that all of your sins have been forgiven?
- CHRIST MADE YOU A CHILD OF GOD: “…to all who believed Him and accepted Him, He gave the right to become children of God. They are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God.” (John 1:12-13) What did you have to do to become a child of God?
- HAS GOD CALLED YOU TO MINISTRY? Though all Christians are called to serve the cause of Christ, God calls certain persons to serve the Church as pastors or some other type of Writing to young Timothy, Paul comments, “Here is a saying you can trust. If anyone wants to be a leader in the church, he wants to do a good work for God and people.” (1 Tim. 3:1) Likewise, it is a high honor to be called of God into any type of work for the Church. How do you know if God is calling you? There is an inward call. Through His Spirit, God speaks to those persons He has called to serve as pastors and in various ministers of His Church. The great Reformer Martin Luther described this inward call as “God’s voice heard by faith.” Those whom God has called know this call by a sense of leading, purpose, and growing commitment.
