“…after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. And they went out and preached everywhere, THE LORD WORKING WITH THEM and 1CONFIRMING THE WORD THROUGH THE ACCOMPANYING SIGNS. Amen.” (Mark 16:19-20) 1bebaioō: to make firm, establish, make sure. We understand with this verse that it is the intention of Jesus to “WORK WITH US MAKING SURE” that people believe because of the ACCOMPANYING SIGNS! But, IT IS UP TO US TO BELIEVE THE WORD! People can and do debate and not believe the spoken word but what can they do when a man with withered legs, who never walked, is instantly and totally healed, rises up and runs! How do you debate and disbelieve that?
“Peter said, (to the man lame from birth) “Look at us.” Then Peter said, In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk…So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them—WALKING, LEAPING, AND PRAISING GOD. Then they knew that it was he who sat begging…and they were filled with WONDER and AMAZEMENT at what had happened to him.” (Acts 3:4-10)
This is exactly what should happen when we share the word of God, it is what we should expect! Why?
THE LORD DESIRES TO WORK WITH US CONFIRMING HIS WORD…WITH SIGNS!!!
