WHEN WE ARE BETRAYED, AMY…

Jesus spoke to Judas when he came to the Garden AMY, where they were praying, and said to him, “Judas, are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss?” (Luke 22:48) David is feeling that betrayal from his son Absalom as he tries to take over the kingdom, Give ear to my prayer, O God, Attend to me, and hear me; I am restless in my complaint, and moan noisily, Because of the voice of the enemy, My heart is severely pained within me…” (Psa. 55:1-4)

Absalom was trying to kill David so, he says: “…I will call upon God, And THE LORD SHALL SAVE ME. Evening and morning and at noon I WILL PRAY, and cry aloud, And He shall hear my voice. He has redeemed my soul in peace from the battle that was against me, For there were many against me.(Psa. 55:16-18) If we are having troubles AMY, we need to  tell God about all our troubles we’re having and that SOMETHING IS WRONG, and cry out to Him in the evening, in the morning and at noon because we know that He will LISTEN TO OUR CRY.

God does not want us to just avoid the potential of betrayal at the cost of never having serious interpersonal relationships. And so AMY, if we’re involved in relationships as God has created us to be in, then we are very likely going to experience betrayal. We need to know how to handle that. Because betrayal is painful. No one gets into a relationship wanting to be betrayed! And yet it happens. Cast your burden on the LORD, And He shall SUSTAIN YOU; He shall never permit THE RIGHTEOUS TO BE 2MOVED.(Psa. 55:22) 2môṭ: to be shaken, or upended, to fall.
