“Jesus said, “Assuredly, I say to you that there are some standing here who will not taste death till they SEE THE KINGDOM OF GOD COME WITH POWER. Jesus took Peter, James, and John, and led them up on a high mountain and He was TRANSFIGURED (metamorphoō: to change into another form, to transform) before them. HIS CLOTHES BECAME SHINING, EXCEEDINGLY WHITE, LIKE SNOW…Elijah appeared to them with Moses, and they were talking with Jesus. Then Peter said, “Rabbi, let us make three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah”…they were greatly afraid. And a cloud overshadowed them; and a voice came saying, “THIS IS MY BELOVED SON. HEAR HIM!“ (Mark 9:1-7)
The “kingdom of God” is a big theme for Jesus, it is mentioned 62 times in the Gospels. “Jesus came, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, saying, “The time is fulfilled, and THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS AT HAND. (it is here, NOW) Repent, and believe in the gospel.” (Mark 1:15)
So, where do we find the kingdom of God? “Now when Jesus was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS WITHIN YOU.” (Luke 17:20-21) We must remember when we are born again, “…our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ who will transform our LOWLY BODY that it may be conformed to HIS GLORIOUS BODY…” (Phil. 3:20-21)
WE WILL BE GLORIOUSLY AND WONDROUSLY TRANSFORMED TO BE LIKE JESUS…
