WHAT’S THE BEST MEDICINE?

A 1MERRY HEART does good, LIKE MEDICINE, But a broken spirit dries the bones. (Prov. 17:22) 1śâmêach: joyful, glad. We’ve all heard the expression “laughter is the best medicine.” Think it’s just a concise saying? Think again. In fact, intense research tell us that laughter has profound psychological and physiological benefits. For starters, laughter is a powerful form of stress relief which works in a number of different ways, including increasing endorphins released by the brain; decreasing your stress response; and alleviating tension, according to the Mayo Clinic.

ANXIETY IN THE HEART of man causes depression, But A GOOD WORD MAKES IT GLAD.(Prov. 12:25) Consider how people perceive you. When they see you coming, what do they expect? Does anxiety grow in them, anticipating criticism or trouble? Or do they lean towards you, HUNGRY FOR THE BLESSING OF YOUR WORDS? Of course, the best word is God’s Word. FILL YOUR HEART AND MIND WITH HIS WORD and you’ll find that it FLOWS FROM YOUR TONGUE when needed to bless others.

WORRY WEIGHS A PERSON DOWN; AN ENCOURAGING WORD CHEERS A PERSON UP. (Prov. 12:25)
