Jesus was just crucified a few days ago and now the tomb is reported as being empty. The followers of Jesus gathered in the upper room and locked the doors. “Then, the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came (the doors were locked so Jesus JUST APPEARED) and stood in the midst, and said to them, “Peace be with you.” When He had said this, He showed them HIS HANDS and HIS SIDE. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. So Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” And when He had said this, HE BREATHED ON THEM, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit.” (John 20:19-22)
SO, WAS HE LIKE A GHOST? NO, “He said to Thomas, “Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and PUT IT INTO MY SIDE. Do not be unbelieving, but believing.” (John 20:27) Then Jesus ate something, “Jesus said to them, “Have you any food here?” So they gave Him a piece of a broiled fish and some honeycomb. And He took it and ATE IN THEIR PRESENCE.” (Luke 24:41-43) In His glorified body BENITA, Jesus could go from the spiritual realm to the physical realm, could eat food and enjoy fellowship!
Then He said to them, “These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that ALL THINGS MUST BE FULFILLED which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me.“ And He opened their understanding, that they might COMPREHEND (suniēmi: to understand) THE SCRIPTURES.” (Luke 24:44-45)
“Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, WE SHALL BE LIKE HIM, for we shall see Him AS HE IS.” (1 John 3:2)
