“SEEK GOOD and NOT EVIL, THAT YOU MAY LIVE; So, the LORD God of hosts will be WITH YOU, as you have spoken. HATE EVIL, LOVE GOOD; Establish justice in the gate. It may be that the LORD God of hosts WILL BE GRACIOUS TO YOU...” (Amos 5:14-15)
It is natural to have the desire to live, to have God’s presence with us, along with His graciousness…Who would not want these wonderful things? Those who love evil, those who partake of the multitude of flesh pleasing opportunities readily available today. The devil has provided plenty of porn, alcohol, drugs or a variety of ways to satisfy the lusts of the flesh. So, how do we avoid these multitude of temptations? We simply do what God instructs Amos “SEEK GOOD and NOT EVIL…” With prayer and OUR HELP that comes from the Lord this promise is ours…
“ASK, AND IT WILL BE GIVEN TO YOU; SEEK, AND YOU WILL FIND; KNOCK, AND IT WILL BE OPENED TO YOU. “ (Matt. 7:7)
