WE ONLY HAVE TO BELIEVE, TOMMY…

“…a man named Jairus, was a ruler of the synagoguehe fell down at Jesus’ feet and BEGGED HIM to come, for he had an only daughter, and she was dyingsomeone came saying to him, “Your daughter is dead when Jesus heard it, He answered, “Do not be afraid; ONLY BELIEVE, and she will be made well.” Jesus, permitted no one to go in except Peter, James, and John, and the father and mother. Now all wept and mourned for her; but He said, “Do not weep; she is NOT DEAD, but sleeping. (She was not dead to Jesus)And they ridiculed Him, knowing that she was dead. But He put them all outside, took her by the hand and called, saying, “Little girl, ARISE.” Then her spirit returned, and she arose IMMEDIATELY. And He commanded that she be given something to eat. And her parents WERE ASTONISHED, (existēmi: to be amazed or astounded) but He charged them to tell no one what had happened.(Luke 8:41-56) Jairus was a ruler of the synagogue TOMMY, where they were plotting for ways to discredit Jesus and put Him to death. But Jairus was desperate for his only daughter to be healed because he heard about the miraculous things Jesus had done.

In the book of John, he said about himself, “This is the disciple who testifies of these things, and wrote these things; and we know that his testimony is true. And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself COULD NOT CONTAIN THE BOOKS that would be written. Amen. (John 21:24-25)
