“God sent me to help understand the truth that leads to GODLY LIVING. Faith and understanding rest on the hope of eternal life. Before time began, God promised to give that life. And He does not lie.” (Titus 1:1-2) Our wonderful Lord God made a promise to us Amanda, before time ever began. This promise says that Faith and Understanding REST on this HOPE OF ETERNAL LIFE, what does that mean?
Christ became the Mediator of the New Testament, and assumed human nature so that HE WOULD DIE, and by dying OBTAIN REDEMPTION for His people; not only for those that were then in the world, or us who are in the world now. “The first testament” is the first release of the covenant of grace, reaching from the first declaration of it to Adam after the fall, to the death of Christ; “the transgressions” that were under it are the sins of the saints who lived under that time, from Adam to Moses, and from Moses to Christ.
God changes us from the inside out so that we love to do His will. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, ALL THINGS have become new.” (2 Corin. 5:17) When we accept Christ into our lives Amanda, He works through all of the hurt, fear, anger, and past experiences that affect our daily life. He brings us HEALING so that we may walk forward and find joy in what God has planned for us. From the inside, we are transformed. Instead of living in sin and shame, we can live as a LIGHT OF CHRIST.
