“…the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but MIGHTY IN GOD for pulling down strongholds, CASTING DOWN ARGUMENTS and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, BRINGING EVERY THOUGHT INTO CAPTIVITY to the obedience of Christ…” (2 Corin. 10:4-5) We know that in the first encounter Satan had with humans he challenged the Word of God, “HAS GOD INDEED SAID, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?” (Gen. 3:1)
Now if we’re unfamiliar with the Word, it will be NO PROBLEM for the devil to confuse us. That’s why we are informed, “Your word I have HIDDEN IN MY HEART, That I might not SIN AGAINST YOU.” (Psa. 119:11) If we do not learn the Word of God, WE WILL sin against God. Now let me speak a very important truth. The WORD OF GOD is the MOST POWERFUL FORCE IN EXISTENCE! “Jesus is the image of the invisible God, for BY HIM ALL THINGS WERE CREATED that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible. All things were created by Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and IN HIM ALL THINGS CONSIST.” (Col. 1:15-17) Everything that exists was spoken into existence by THE WORD OF GOD! “In the beginning was the WORD, and the WORD was with God, and the WORD was God.” (John 1:1) “I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True…His name is called THE WORD OF GOD…Now out of His mouth goes a sharp sword…” (Rev. 19:11-15)
This is what God instructed us to do, “Take heed to yourselves, lest your heart be deceived…you shall LAY UP THESE WORDS OF MINE IN YOUR HEART and in your soul, and bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets (strips of parchment, on which were written Scripture) between your eyes. You shall teach them to your children, speaking of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. And you shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates….” (Deut. 11:16-20)
GOD KNOWS EXACTLY WHAT WE NEED AND HE PROVIDES IT!
