“Saul was uttering threats with every breath and was eager to KILL THE LORD’S FOLLOWERS. So he went to the high priest. He requested letters addressed to the synagogues in Damascus, asking for their cooperation in the arrest of any followers of Christ there. As he was approaching Damascus, a light (an extremely bright, blinding light) from heaven suddenly shone down around him. He FELL TO THE GROUND and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul! Saul! Why are you persecuting me?” “Who are you, lord?” Saul asked. And the voice replied, “I am Jesus, the one you are persecuting! Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.” (Acts 9:1-6)
Here was a man who was killing Christians and causing all kinds of problems with the work of the Lord, so why didn’t the Lord just KILL HIM? Well AMANDA, Jesus saw something in Saul whose name was changed to Paul and he wrote half of the New testament! The Lord has something for EACH ONE OF US TO DO, all we need is to ask Him what it is!!! “…as God has distributed to EACH ONE, as the Lord has CALLED EACH ONE, so LET HIM WALK. And so I ordain in all churches.” (1 Corin. 7:17) Here is what Jesus said to us, “You did not choose me, but I CHOSE YOU and APPOINTED YOU so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that WHATEVER YOU ASK in my name the Father WILL GIVE YOU.” (John 15:16)
