God gave VERY PRECISE DETAILS of how the Ark of the Covenant (the sacred presence of the Lord) should be moved (Num. 4:15). When the Philistines stole the Arc, and sent it back to Israel, it was on a new cart. So, when David wanted to return the Arc, he put it on a new cart with devastating results “It was because you, the Levites, DID NOT BRING IT UP THE FIRST TIME that the LORD our God broke out in anger against us. WE DID NOT INQUIRE OF THE LORD ABOUT HOW TO DO IT IN THE PRESCRIBED WAY.“ (1 Chron. 15:13)
We must be diligent to seek the LORD about how He wants us to do His will, for example, “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, LOVE YOUR ENEMIES, BLESS those who curse you, DO GOOD to those who hate you, and PRAY for those who spitefully use you and persecute you…” (Matt. 5:43-44)
AS FOR GOD, HIS WAY IS PERFECT; THE WORD OF THE LORD IS PROVEN… (Psa. 18:30)
