“This is how we know who the CHILDREN OF GOD are and who the CHILDREN OF THE DEVIL are: Anyone who DOES NOT DO WHAT IS 1RIGHT IS NOT GOD’S CHILD, nor is anyone who does not love their brother and sister. For this is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another.” (1 John 3:10-11) 1dikaiosynē: purity of life, rightness, the godly way of thinking feeling, and acting. For you see, “…if anyone is in Christ, he is a NEW CREATION; OLD THINGS have PASSED AWAY; behold, ALL THINGS have become NEW.” (2 Corin. 5:17)
That’s so wonderful but what about this? “…just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk IN 2NEWNESS OF LIFE.” (Rom. 6:4) 2kainotēs: the new STATE OF LIFE in which the Holy Spirit places us. You know it just keeps getting better! We must know this, “…that our old man was crucified with Christ, that the body of sin might be DONE AWAY WITH, that we should no longer BE SLAVES OF SIN. For he who has died has been FREED FROM SIN. Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also LIVE WITH HIM…Christ, having been raised from the dead, DIES NO MORE. Likewise you also, reckon (consider) yourselves to be DEAD INDEED TO SIN, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Therefore DO NOT LET SIN REIGN in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts.” (Rom. 6:6-12)
