“I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be STRENGTHENED with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being ROOTED and GROUNDED IN LOVE, may be able to understand with all the saints what is the WIDTH and LENGTH and DEPTH and HEIGHT— to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be FILLED WITH ALL THE FULLNESS OF GOD.” (Eph. 3:14-19) We must remind ourselves WILL, that we are dealing, not with our love to God and to Christ and to the brethren, but with HIS LOVE TO US. Paul is describing the Church as “a holy temple in the Lord”, as a great building in which God takes up His abode and in which He dwells. I am ready to believe that that was still in his mind, and that as he thought of the vastness of the Church as an enormous temple, he felt it to be a good way of describing the love of Christ to His people. It is similar to the breadth, length, depth and height of such a great building.
The four living creatures WILL, and the twenty-four elders, “…sang a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll…For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood…Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne…the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands, saying with a loud voice: “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain To receive power and riches and wisdom, And strength and honor and glory and blessing!” (Rev. 5:9-12)
