Jesus walked into the temple and the Jews surrounded Him and said, “If you are the Christ tell us plainly,” Jesus said, “My sheep hear My voice, and I KNOW (ginōskō: to know and love intimately) THEM, and they FOLLOW ME. And I GIVE THEM ETERNAL LIFE, and they SHALL NEVER PERISH; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to SNATCH THEM OUT OF MY FATHER’S HAND. I and My Father are one.” (John 10:27-30) Notice that Jesus says that He has an intimate relationship with those who give their lives to Him. As a show of that intimacy JUSTIN, Jesus grants us eternal life and says that we shall never perish! Not only that but Jesus says that no one will be able to snatch us out of the Fathers hand!!!
Jesus said to the Jewish leaders, “…you do not believe, because you are NOT OF MY SHEEP, as I said to you.” (John 10:26) “Then the Jews took up stones to stone Him…they sought to seize Him, but Jesus escaped out of their hand.” (John 10:31, 39)
