WE ARE BLESSED WITH MERCY, BENITA…

MERCY (chêsêd: compassion, forgiveness) shall be BUILT UP FOREVER; Your faithfulness You shall establish in the very heavens.” (Psa. 89:2) Mercy is defined as compassion or forgiveness shown toward someone who deserves to be punished or harmed. This is how the Lord revealed Himself to Moses, BENITA, “The LORD PROCLAIMED, “The LORD, the LORD God, MERCIFUL and GRACIOUS (Exo 34:7) God’s goodness is the foundation on which His mercy rests; and from that source, and on that foundation, acts of mercy SHALL FLOW and be BUILT UP FOR EVER AND EVER.

Israel had suffered some military setback that threatened its existence. This caused some people to think that God had forsaken David, His anointed king. As a result, the psalmist recalls the covenant promise God made to David to preserve his reign forever, and on the basis of this he claims God’s help. Samuel spoke this prophecy, “Now then, tell my servant David, ‘This is what the LORD Almighty says: I took you from the pasture, from tending the flock, and appointed you ruler over my people Israel. I have BEEN WITH YOU wherever you have goneI will make your name great, like the names of the greatest men on earthI will also give you rest from all your enemies…your house and your kingdom will endure forever before me; your throne will be established forever.'” (2 Sam. 7:8-16)

As for you (that’s us!!!), you were dead in your transgressions and sinsLike the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. But because of God’s GREAT LOVE FOR US, God, WHO IS RICH IN MERCY (compassion, forgiveness), made us ALIVE WITH CHRIST even when we WERE DEAD in transgressions—it is BY GRACE YOU HAVE BEEN SAVED.(Eph. 2:1-5)
