We are engaged in in spiritual war. It’s a battle for how we think. It’s a battle for the mind. Why? Because the world is imprisoned in false belief systems. People are stuck in these false belief systems because they have believed a lie: “…if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. In their case THE god OF THIS WORLD HAS BLINDED THE MINDS OF THE UNBELIEVERS, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” (2 Corin. 4:3-4)
The architect of all of this “false belief” is none other than Satan himself. He is the father of lies. He is the arch-deceiver. He is the ultimate angel of light. And he lays out these great lies through his false belief systems.
In fact, they are further defined – “For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and EVERY LOFTY OPINION [intellectual arrogance] RAISED AGAINST THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD, and TAKE EVERY THOUGHT CAPTIVE to obey Christ…” (2 Corin. 10:4-5)
What does that mean? Every high idea, every apparently noble idea, intellectual idea, great insight, anything and everything that is raised up as a system of ideas – “against the knowledge of God.” People are deceived in systems that are anti-God. To use the language of John, they’re antichrist. So many people are imprisoned there. And they are entombed in these unbelief’s.
So, what is our responsibility? Our responsibility is to smash these false teachings, to crush these lies. And to “take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.” This is a battle for how people think. Again, Satan is the architect, the designer, the engineer, and the builder of these ideologies. People are stuck in them and ultimately doomed by them to eternal hell. And it all seems so wonderful to them because it is operated by the ultimate angel of light.
Let’s pray the following together…
“…I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, MAY HAVE POWER, together with all the saints, TO GRASP HOW WIDE…LONG…HIGH…DEEP IS THE LOVE OF CHRIST, and to 1KNOW this love that surpasses knowledge–that you may be filled to the measure of ALL the fullness of God.” (Eph. 3:17-19)
1 γινώσκω, ginōskō: to “KNOW” absolutely, INTIMATELY
- Abba Father I want to “know” the capacity of Christ’s love this will take a lot of ‘ROOM’, knowing that love is beyond what I can understand, it surpasses (exceeds) knowledge.
- Help me know the capacity of this love so I will be filled with all the fullness of God!

“…as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” (1 Corin. 2:9)
O Lord, I do not have the ability with my seeing, hearing and my own understanding to comprehend what you have for me!

“…God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searches all things, yes, THE DEEP THINGS OF GOD…the natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned [determined].” (1 Corin. 2:10, 14)
