“…do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to AWAKE OUT OF (spiritual) SLEEP; for now, our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.” (Romans 13:11)
- WAKE UP: It’s vital to ask the Holy Spirit to RENEW YOUR MIND to be alert (awake) “Do not be CONFORMED (suschēmatizō: to be just like everyone else) to the pattern of this world but be TRANSFORMED (metamorphoō: to be DIVINELY CHANGED into a godly form, a divine metamorphose) by the RENEWING of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – His good, pleasing, and PERFECT WILL.” (Romans 12:2)
- STAND UP: “It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore, KEEP STANDING FIRM and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.” (Galatians 5:1) “…take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and HAVING DONE ALL, TO STAND. STAND therefore, gird your waist with TRUTH, put on the BREASTPLATE of RIGHTEOUSNESS, shod your feet with the preparation of THE GOSPEL OF PEACE; take the SHIELD OF FAITH to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the HELMET OF SALVATION, and the SWORD of the Spirit, which is the WORD OF GOD;” (Ephesians 6:13-17)
- LOOK UP: “I LOOK UP TO THE MOUNTAINS—does my help come from there? My help comes FROM THE LORD, who made heaven and earth!” (Psalms 121:1-2) “…everyone will see the Son of Man coming on a cloud with power and great glory. So, when all these things begin to happen, STAND AND LOOK UP, for your salvation is near!” (Luke 21:27-28)
