“…thus says the HIGH AND LOFTY (exalted) ONE Who INHABITS ETERNITY, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the HIGH and HOLY PLACE, WITH HIM who has a CONTRITE and HUMBLE spirit, TO REVIVE the spirit of the humble, And to revive the heart of the contrite ones.” (Isa. 57:15)
This one who is HIGH and LOFTY just happens to be,
- omnipotent: all-powerful,
- omniscient: all-knowing,
- omnipresent: being in ALL-PLACES AT THE SAME TIME,
- omnisapient: all-wise,
- omnibenevolent: all-good,
- omnitemporal: existing in all-time.
His home is ETERNITY, where He is now, has always been and will always be. But, He does not live there alone! The LORD dwells in this High and Holy place called Eternity, with those who have contrite hearts and humble spirits to REVIVE THAT SPIRIT IN US. CONTRITE comes from the word, dakka: Something that is crushed thin or into smaller pieces. HUMBLE comes from the word shâphâl: To be low in position or stature. We must realize, it is not AT ALL about us but IT IS ALL ABOUT HIM!!!
A good example of this was what John witnessed when he was caught up to experience and write about what would happen in our near future. John saw, “…the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to Him who sits on the throne, who lives forever and ever, the twenty-four elders fall down before Him who sits on the throne and WORSHIP HIM who lives forever and ever, and CAST THEIR CROWNS BEFORE THE THRONE, saying: “YOU ARE WORTHY, O LORD, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created.” (Rev. 4:9-11)
