“…Jesus …asked His disciples, “Who do people say the Son of Man is…what about you?” He asked [His disciples]. “Who do you say I am? Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” (Matt. 16:13, 15-16) This is a question we should be regularly asking ourselves, “WHO DO WE SAY, who the Lord Jesus is? Is He precious to us? Is He in our eyes the chief of ten thousands? Is He the Beloved of our souls? “…Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah! FOR FLESH AND BLOOD HAS NOT REVEALED THIS TO YOU, BUT MY FATHER WHO IS IN HEAVEN. And I tell you, you are Peter, and ON THIS ROCK (of our mutual understanding-I know you and you know me) I WILL BUILD MY CHURCH, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” (Matt. 16:17-18) Our Abba Father gives us revelation on “who” Jesus is to us and “who” we are to Him. This “rock” is the MUTUAL UNDERSTANDING of our relationship with our Lord and Savior!!!!
ON THIS ROCK, JESUS SAID; “I WILL BUILD MY CHURCH!”
