At the core of the sun, the temperature can reach more than 27 million degrees Fahrenheit. Hydrogen atoms get compressed and fuse together, creating helium. This process is called nuclear fusion. The Sun’s radius is 432,450 miles. The sun is about 92.96 million miles from Earth. How did it get there? “GOD SAID, “Let lights appear in the sky to separate the day from the night. Let these lights in the sky shine down on the earth.” And that is what happened. GOD MADE TWO GREAT LIGHTS—(the sun and the moon) the larger one to govern the day, and the smaller one to govern the night. He also MADE THE STARS. God SET THESE LIGHTS IN THE SKY to separate the light from the darkness. And God saw that IT WAS GOOD.” (Genesis 1:14-18)
Since The WORD OF GOD is the MOST POWERFUL SUBSTANCE IN EXISTENCE, on the fourth day of creation, our awesome God simply SPOKE THE SUN, MOON AND STARS INTO EXISTENCE!!! Do you think any of our difficulties are A PROBLEM FOR HIM? So, why do we have trouble believing in Him? Jesus answered it like this, “The thief does not come except to STEAL, and to KILL, and to DESTROY. I have come that they may HAVE LIFE, (zōē: the absolute fulness of eternal life) and that they may have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10) When does the devil try to steal kill and destroy? God told this to Moses, “…you must LOVE THE LORD your God with all your heart, soul, and strength. And you must COMMIT YOURSELVES wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. REPEAT THEM again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are AT HOME and when you are ON THE ROAD, when you are GOING TO BED and when you are GETTING UP.” (Deut. 6:5-9) These 4 times are when we are most vulnerable to the devil stealing confidence, killing faith, destroying our relationship with God.
WHAT GOD’S WORD SAYS WHEN WE ARE…
- JUST RESTING NOT DOING ANYTHING: “There remains a rest for the people of God…” (Heb. 4:9) While your resting keep your mind on GOD’S GOODNESS!
- TRAVELING: “…you will walk safely in your way, and your foot will not stumble.” (Pro. 3:23) Thank the Lord for always being with you!
- LAYING IN BED AT NIGHT: “In peace I will lie down and sleep, For you alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.” (Psa. 4:8)
- LAYING IN BED IN THE MORNING: “In the morning, LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly (eagerly).” (Psa. 5:3)
