WILL, “…Moses took the Book of the Covenant and READ IT TO THE PEOPLE. They responded, “WE WILL DO EVERYTHING THE LORD HAS SAID; WE WILL OBEY. Moses and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and the 70 elders of Israel went up. THEY SAW THE GOD OF ISRAEL. Under his feet was something like a street made out of sapphire. It was as clear as the sky itself. But God didn’t raise his hand against those leaders of the people of Israel. THEY SAW GOD. AND THEY ATE AND DRANK.” (Exo. 24:7, 9-11)
WILL, I may have said this before, our obedience to God is an indication of our love for Him. When Moses read the Word to the people they were greatly touched by God’s inspired word and said we will do everything the Lord says. The Lord was so impressed with this dedication, He made a very rare appearance to His people! This shows us HOW VERY IMPORTANT IT IS TO GOD FOR US TO LOVE HIM AND OBEY HIM! “But as for me, IT IS GOOD TO BE NEAR TO GOD. I have made the Sovereign LORD my shelter; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.” (Psa. 73:28)
“Grace and peace be multiplied to you THROUGH THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD and of Jesus our Lord…” (2 Pet. 1:2) How do we do it? …through the knowledge of God…knowing about God??? Knowledge: epignosis (ep-ig’-no-sis) two words: epi – marked by, ginosko – a relation between the person knowing and the person known -or- connection, union as between husband and wife. “Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: And KNEW HER NOT till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name Jesus.” (Matt. 1:24, 25) The result of this kind of relationship OR THE MARK OF A MAN AND HIS WIFES INTIMACY is a child. No one knows if there is intimacy, but if pregnancy results…everyone knows! Look at what John says: “We know that we have come to know him if we keep his commands. Whoever says, “I know him,” but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person.” (1 John 2:3-4). The mark of our intimacy with God is “GRACE AND PEACE MULTIPLIED!” the more we know him, the more we want to know him.
WILL, JUST ASK THE LORD TO HELP YOU DEVELOP THIS KIND OF INTIMACY, YOU’LL FIND IT TO BE AWESOME…
