Paul prays that, “…the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know WHAT IS THE HOPE OF HIS CALLING, what are the riches of the glory of His INHERITANCE IN THE SAINTS, and what is the EXCEEDING GREATNESS OF HIS POWER (dunamis) toward us who believe, according to the WORKING (energia) OF HIS MIGHTY (ischus) POWER (kratos) which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and POWER (exousia) AND MIGHT and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. And He put all things UNDER HIS FEET, and gave Jesus to be HEAD OVER ALL THINGS to the church, which is His body, THE FULLNESS OF HIM WHO FILLS ALL IN ALL.” (Eph. 1:18-19)
- Dunamis – inherent power, ability
- Energia – energy, an outward display of power
- Ischus – endowed power, as a King has a certain amount of power given to him because of his office/position
- Kratos – ruling power, dominion
- Exousia – authority, the right to engage
There was a day in the Universe, when ALL OF GOD’S RULING POWER, and inherent power, was put into the form of energy.
