Then Delilah said to Samson, “How can you say, ‘I love you,’ You have not told me where your great strength lies.” …when SHE PESTERED HIM DAILY with her words and pressed him, so that HIS SOUL WAS 1VEXED TO DEATH, that HE TOLD HER ALL HIS HEART, and said to her, “No razor has ever come upon my head, for I have been a Nazirite to God. If I am shaven, my strength will leave me, and I shall become weak, and be like any other man.” (Judg. 16:15-17) 1qâtsar: cut down, much discourage.
“Potiphar, bought Joseph. The LORD was with Joseph, his master made him overseer of his house. Now Joseph was handsome…his master’s wife cast longing eyes on Joseph, and said, “LIE WITH ME.” he refused and said “…my master has kept back nothing from me but you. How then can I sin against God?” …as she spoke to Joseph DAY BY DAY, he did not lie with her…Joseph went into the house, and none of the men was inside, she CAUGHT HIM BY HIS GARMENT, saying, “LIE WITH ME.” …he left his garment in her hand, and FLED AND RAN OUTSIDE.” (Gen. 39:1-12)
Samson GAVE IN and was imprisoned which led it his death, Joseph RAN AWAY and was put in prison but ended up second to Pharaoh, in charge of the whole Nation of Egypt! “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and HE WILL FLEE FROM YOU. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” (Jam. 4:7-8)
