“…Let us hear the conclusion of the matter: FEAR GOD AND KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS, FOR THIS IS THE WHOLE DUTY OF ALL MANKIND. For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil.” (Eccl. 12:13-14)

Solomon brings us to his wise conclusion in the last chapter of Ecclesiastes. He sums up this entire book in two important sentences, reminding us in our search for meaning, purpose and significance our responsibility remains very clear: We are to fear God and keep (obey)His commands. This is our whole duty, the bottom line, the conclusion. We must fully understand the fear of the Lord; the awe and respect aspect and the fear of eternal punishment aspect, if we choose to reject God.

“So, we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it. For WE MUST ALL APPEAR BEFORE THE JUDGMENT SEAT OF CHRIST, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.” (2 Corin. 5:9-10)

We must be sure that our name is written in the Lambs Book of Life, that’s where our name is recorded when we are saved because, “Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.” (Rev. 20:15)
