“Blessed is the man Who’s…1delight is in the WORD OF THE LORD, And in His WORD HE MEDITATES day and night. He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season…And whatever he does shall prosper.” (Psalms 1:1-3) 1chêphets: desire, pleasure. We should receive pleasure and satisfaction from the WORD of God, why? “For the WORD of God is ALIVE AND POWERFUL…” (Heb. 4:12) Not only that but: “ALL SCRIPTURE is given by inspiration of God…” (2 Tim. 3:16)
What if We’re unsure of the way to go? “Your word is a LAMP to my feet And a LIGHT to my path.” (Psalms 119:105) What exactly should we do with this wonderful WORD? “…receive with meekness the…WORD…be DOERS OF THE WORD, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.” (James 1:21-22) Jesus said: “More than that, blessed are those who hear THE WORD OF GOD AND KEEP IT!” (Luke 11:28) “Keep” means to put the WORD into practice, then ponder (a gentle chewing of the word that slowly releases its inner riches)the WORD in your heart.
AS FOR GOD, HIS WAY IS PERFECT: THE LORD’S WORD IS FLAWLESS…(Psalms 18:30)
