As believers we know where true hope is found. We’re incredibly grateful for the love and forgiveness of Christ. We’ve been set free; redeemed for His purposes.
And yet, as we know for now AMY does not share our desire to walk close and stay connected to God. Which of course leaves us with an ache deep inside. The truth is: many are lost. Still wandering, searching, or drifting farther away from God.
God reminds us again and again that PRAYER IS POWERFUL. Praying God’s Word over those we love and speaking His truth over their lives builds our own faith. So we can say with Isaiah: “The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me, Because the LORD has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound…” (Isaiah 61:1)
We can pray this on AMY’S behalf: “Through the LORD‘s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are NEW EVERY MORNING; Great is Your faithfulness.” (Lam. 3:22-23)
