“Now it happened on another Sabbath, that Jesus entered the synagogue and taught. And a man was there whose right hand was withered (xēros:  part of the body deprived of their natural fluids, shrunk, wasted.) So the scribes and Pharisees watched Him closely, whether He would heal on the Sabbath, that they might find an accusation against Him. But He knew their thoughts, and said to the man who had the withered hand, “Arise and stand here.” And he arose and stood. Then Jesus said to them, “I will ask you one thing: Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do evil, to save life or to destroy?” And when He had looked around at them all, He said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” And he did so, and his hand was RESTORED AS WHOLE AS THE OTHER. But they were FILLED WITH RAGE, and discussed with one another what they might do to Jesus.” (Luke 6:6-11)

According to Jewish Law, Jesus was being obedient because one is not merely permitted–one is required to disregard a law that conflicts with LIFE or HEALTH. “It is a religious precept to desecrate the Sabbath for any person afflicted with an illness that may prove dangerous…”

Why was there such a hatred for Jesus Christ JUSTIN? There were some 351 Old Testament Prophecies Fulfilled In Jesus Christ. Everywhere Jesus went, He attracted huge throngs, multitudes, crowds pressing around to LISTEN TO HIS EVERY WORD, watching His every move. He was profoundly popular among the people. Jesus said, “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which indeed appear beautiful outwardly, but inside are full of dead men’s bones and ALL UNCLEANNESS. Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inside you are FULL OF HYPOCRISY AND LAWLESSNESS.” (Matt. 23:27-28)

THEY KILLED JESUS BECAUSE HE TOLD THEM THE TRUTH…
