“But you, beloved Will, remember the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ: how they told you that there would be MOCKERS (empaiktēs: false teachers) in the last time whose whole purpose in life is to enjoy themselves in every evil way imaginable. These are the people who DIVIDE YOU, who follow mere natural instincts and do not have the Spirit. But you, dear friend, by BUILDING YOURSELF UP in your most holy faith and PRAYING in the Holy Spirit, KEEP YOURSELF in the LOVE OF GOD, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. And on some have compassion, making a distinction; but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire…” (Jude 1:17-23)
Here are some things you need to do Will, TO STAND FIRM,
- Be informed about those who try to DIVIDE YOU: Don’t be taken in by smooth talk or new twists. Don’t accept anything as a substitute for grace. Test everything by the Word of God.
- Build yourself up: Devote the time it takes to develop a personal intimacy with God. Search for and read about being close to the Lord.
- Pray: I notice you started a prayer list, keep that up Will, faithfully.
- Keep yourself in love with God: Make it a practice to TELL the Lord how much you love Him and how much He means to you.
- Be ready to help. You might find someone you can share these studies with and become a prayer partner with.
You will be amazed at how much this helps you Will to become a powerful man of God…
