SEEING IS BELIEVING???

People say seeing is believing, but think about this: ‘The greatest faith any of us could possess is the ability TO BELIEVE WITHOUT SEEING. Jesus said to Thomas:

“Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those WHO HAVE NOT SEEN and YET HAVE BELIEVED.” (John 20:29)

I think Peter expresses this so very well when he says:

Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an INEXPRESSIBLE AND GLORIOUS JOY…” (1 Pet. 1:8)

Now Jesus did give us this wonderful promise:

“…you can be sure that I AM ALWAYS WITH YOU, to the very end.” (Matt. 28:20)

So, today, where are we with our belief? Well, think about TWO PROMISES Jesus made to us: “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me WILL: (John 14:12)

  1. do the works that I do…
  2. greater works than these WILL HE DO

The devil has been successful, in these last days, in causing us to doubt about our fulfilling these promises. It’s like what Jesus said to a group:

“Unless you people see signs and wondersYOU WILL NEVER BELIEVE.” (John 4:48)

So, has the devil been successful in causing us to go back to seeing BEFORE we believe?

That would be a problem because someone must believe the word BEFORE THEY SEE IT FULFILLED!!!

Let’s seek the Lord to become believers in these promises…Bill Stockham
