“…the kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid; and FOR JOY over it he goes and SELLS ALL THAT HE HAS and buys that field. (Matt. 13:44) We are focusing on this Will, because it’s important to understand, embrace and enjoy the biblical foundation for our knowing the TREASURE CHRIST is to us! Looking at this promise, “…the kingdom of God is…RIGHTEOUSNESS and PEACE and JOY in the Holy Spirit.” (Romans 14:17) We learn one main thing WILL: The kingdom of God is SO VALUABLE that losing everything but gaining the kingdom, is awesome. Having the Omnipotent, saving reign of Christ in our lives is so precious that, if WE LOSE EVERYTHING, in order to have it, it is a JOYFUL SACRIFICE.
So, I’ll be praying that you will stay physically healthy as you go through the academy. You mentioned to pray that if this is the Lord’s will, that you do not give up during police academy. About that WILL I have been praying for your success in the police academy, I feel led of the Lord to assure you that this is the Lord’s will. So, what we’ll pray is for your perseverance TO DO the Lord’s will. We can pray that God will give you the DESIRE AND EMPOWER YOU TO DO HIS WILL! “Therefore, my beloved, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who WORKS IN YOU both to WILL (the desire) and to DO (the power) for His good pleasure (His will)…” (Philippians 2:12-14) You mentioned that you “want an opportunity to minister to these people, and you have been praying that Jesus would soften their hearts and prepare you to be AN EXAMPLE to them.“BE AN EXAMPLE in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity.” (1 Timothy 4:12) Because WILL, “You are the light of the world.” (Matthew 5:14) Therefore WILL, “Let your light SO SHINE before men, that they may SEE your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16) This is not so much about what you say but WHAT YOU DO…
