As I was praying for you last night Regina the Lord gave something to me CONCERNING YOU and I want to share it. The Lord reminded me of Moses and his relationship with God. The Story of Moses consists of three parts: birth, childhood, and adulthood. A man and a woman from the tribe of Levi got married. She became pregnant and hid her baby for three months…she got a basket and coated it with tar…she placed the child in it…put the basket along the bank of the Nile River…Pharaoh’s daughter went down to the Nile River to take a bath. She saw the basket in the tall grass…and sent her female slave to get it…she saw the baby. He was crying. She felt sorry for him. “This is one of the Hebrew babies,” she said.” (Exodus 2:1-3,5-6)
The sister of the baby (Moses) was there and volunteered her mother to come and nurse her baby. So, Moses grew up in the house of Pharaoh, he was trained for 40 years, in one of the best education systems of that day. Because God, who had a plan for Moses, PREPARED HIM for his future. Then we know God had further training for Moses so, he escaped Egypt and went to live in the desert for another 40 years of training. Moses connected with Jethro, married his daughter and cared for his sheep while doing so “…THE ANGEL (it’s believed that this is Jesus) of the LORD appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush. So he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, but the bush was not consumed. Then Moses said, “I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush does not burn.” (Exodus 3:2-3) This was the first encounter Moses had with the Lord and was CALLED HERE to the ministry and 4 TIMES refused his calling. Moses encountered God, believed God, was impressed by God but refused God’s calling on his life. He went back to Egypt, was used mightily by God but he did not really have an INTIMATE RELATIONSHIP with God. The Hebrew term used to define a deep intimacy is yada, which is the DEEP INTIMATE LOVE RELATIONSHIP between man and God.
Moses said to God, “Now then, if I have found favor in Your sight in any way, please let me know Your ways so that I MAY KNOW (yada) YOU, in order that I may FIND FAVOR in Your sight.” (Exodus 33:13) At this point there is no record of Moses praying to the Lord. And Moses said, “Please, SHOW ME Your glory.” (Exodus 33:18) “Now the LORD descended in the cloud and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD. And the LORD passed before him and proclaimed, “The LORD, the LORD God, MERCIFUL and GRACIOUS, LONGSUFFERING, and ABOUNDING (overflowing) IN GOODNESS and truth, KEEPING mercy for thousands, FORGIVING iniquity and transgression and sin.” (Exodus 34:5-7) For THE FIRST TIME, “Moses fell down before the Lord and WORSHIPED.” (Exodus 34:8)
This is what the Lord wants from you Regina, a DEEP INTIMATE RELATIONSHIP where you yada the Lord. With all your heart, soul, mind, and strength.
