RECEIVING HELP IN OUR WEAKNESS, WILL…

“…the Holy Spirit helps us in our 1weakness. For example, WE DON’T KNOW what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words.(Rom. 8:26) 1astheneia: feebleness, sickness; physical or spiritual.

Paul prays for us, I do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers: that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may GIVE TO YOU the spirit of WISDOM and REVELATION in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being ENLIGHTENED; that you may know what is the HOPE of His calling, what are the RICHES of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the EXCEEDING GREATNESS of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His MIGHTY POWER which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come.(Eph. 1:16-21)

WHAT ALL DO WE RECEIVE AS A RESULT OF PAUL’S PRAYER?

  • THE SPIRIT OF WISDOM AND REVELATION: In our knowledge of Him.
  • OUR UNDERSTANDING BEING 2ENLIGHTENED: 2phōtizō: to cause the HOPE to come to light and become CLEAR TO UNDERSTAND.
  • THE EXCEEDING GREATNESS OF HIS POWER: His power toward us as believers.
  • THE WORKING OF HIS MIGHTY POWER: Raising Christ and setting Him up to rule overall.

The person without the Holy Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them FOOLISHNESS, and CANNOT UNDERSTAND THEM because they are discerned only through the Spirit. for, “Who has known the mind of the Lord?” But WE HAVE THE MIND OF CHRIST.(1 Corin. 2:14-16)
