My very dear brother Will,
I’m sorry things did not work out for you at the Police Academy. As Paul says, “…one thing I do, forgetting those things WHICH ARE BEHIND and REACHING FORWARD to those things which are ahead, I PRESS TOWARD THE GOAL for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” (Phil. 3:13-14)
Just so I’m clear on your requests:
- Current financial needs: According to (Phil. 4:19) “…my God shall supply ALL YOUR NEED according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” What are the conditions of this promise Will? That YOU BELIEVE that God can do what He says He can do.
- Desire to hear God’s voice about future: “Call to Me, and I will ANSWER YOU, and SHOW YOU great and mighty things, which you do not know.” (Jer. 33:3) What are the conditions of this promise Will? “Trust in the Lord with all your heart…” (Prov. 3:5)
- Possibility of Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling: Because of all this entails, I advise you to do some serious praying and fasting Will. “Is this not the fast that I have chosen: that you break every yoke? Then your light shall break forth like the morning, Your healing shall spring forth speedily, And your righteousness shall go before you; The glory of the LORD shall be your rear guard. Then you shall call, and THE LORD WILL ANSWER; You shall cry, and He will say, “HERE I AM.” (Isa. 58:6, 8-9) Father, I come to you today with faith so small I cannot see a way. I want to believe you are able to do MORE THAN I EVER IMAGINE. I want to walk by faith and not by sight. God, please bring a miracle into my life. I know that you can do the impossible in my life and I am trusting in your promises. Thank you for being a God who sees and hears MY EVERY NEED. In Jesus’ name, amen.
- Just the right job currently: “ORDER MY STEPS in Your Word; and do not let any iniquity rule over me.” (Psa. 119:133) Praise God Will, through worship. You can experience more miracles when you spend more time PRAISING GOD IN WORSHIP, because worship ushers God’s power into your life in fresh ways and helps you discern His voice more clearly as He leads you toward miracles. Make a habit of praising God for WHO HE IS, during both good and bad times in your life.
- The Lord to direct your path: If God wants you Will, to do something that seems completely illogical, He will give you more to go on. Moses and the burning bush is one of my favorite examples of this. What God was asking him to do was, logically, certain death without hope of success. So God emphasized His leading with the supernatural, a bush burning (but not burning up), an audible voice and a couple miracles to take with him for good measure. By saying this Will, I don’t mean that we cannot rebel and go the other way. Jonah did. But what happened to Jonah? He ended up RIGHT WHERE GOD WANTED HIM, doing what God wanted him to do in spite of his initial rebellion. I am saying that we don’t have to worry about missing God’s leading. If we happen to turn away from it the first time, GOD WILL BRING IT BACK AROUND. It will eventually become the only real choice no matter which way we turn. Remember Will, “The LORD is your shepherd; You shall not want. He will make me to lie down…He will lead you…He will restore your soul; He will lead you in the paths of righteousness…though you walk through the valley of the shadow of death, you will fear no evil; For Jesus is with you…He will comfort you…He will prepare a table for you…He will…anoint your head with oil…your cup will run over…goodness and mercy shall follow you ALL THE DAYS OF YOUR LIFE…” (Psalms 23:1-6)
