There is a whole universe that man in all his wisdom is ignorant of. That is the world of the spirit. And I’m not just talking about the spiritual realm outside of us but also the spiritual being inside of every person. We aren’t evolved animals; we were created in God’s image and likeness, “God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness…” (Genesis 1:26) We are created to be SPIRIT BEINGS. The ultimate way to control bad behavior isn’t by more laws, metal detectors, or social engineering; it’s changing our hearts, one at a time, by being born again. Only Jesus can do that.
“…if anyone among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back, let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will SAVE A SOUL FROM DEATH and cover a multitude of sins.” (James 5:19-20) Paul encourages us to the hope we have, “I thank Christ Jesus our Lord…that he considered me trustworthy…Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man…The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly…Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—OF WHOM I AM THE WORST.” (1 Timothy 1:12-15) As bad as Paul was, God saved him, so there is definitely hope for Amy.
