“…the accuser of our brethren (Satan), who accused them before our God day and night, has been CAST DOWN. And they (we) overcame him by THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB and by THE WORD OF THEIR TESTIMONY…” (Rev. 12:10-11) We must believe and know AMY, that our enemy, the devil, has been overcome, defeated. He can now only lie to us and if we believe him, he can influence us. So, what must we do???
“…my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the POWER OF HIS MIGHT. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to STAND AGAINST the 1wiles of the devil. For we DO NOT wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against SPIRITUAL HOSTS OF WICKEDNESS in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the WHOLE ARMOR OF GOD, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. (Eph. 6:10-13) 1methodeia: cunning arts, deceit, trickery.
The very next verse AMY says, “STAND YOUR GROUND, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness…” (Eph. 6:14) (read down through verse 18) and remember, “…we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not 2carnal but MIGHTY IN GOD for pulling down strongholds…” (2 Corin. 10:3-4) 2sarkikós: mere human nature NOT the Spirit of God. the Holy Spirit in us, gives us power, “Behold, I give unto you power over all the POWER of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” (Luke 10:19)
