“Jesus is the IMAGE (eikōn: describing Christ’s divine nature and absolute moral excellence) of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For BY HIM ALL THINGS WERE CREATED that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. ALL THINGS WERE CREATED BY HIM AND FOR HIM. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. And HE IS THE HEAD OF THE BODY, THE CHURCH, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that IN HIM ALL THE FULLNESS (God wanted all of Himself to be in His Son) SHOULD DWELL, and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, HAVING MADE PEACE THROUGH THE BLOOD OF HIS CROSS.” (Colossians 1:15-20)
“In the beginning (archē: the origin, the first place) was THE WORD, and THE WORD was with God, and THE WORD WAS GOD. He was in the beginning with God. ALL THINGS WERE MADE BY HIM, and without Him nothing was made that was made.” (John 1:1-3)
“God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has APPOINTED HEIR OF ALL THINGS, BY WHOM ALSO HE (God’s Son) MADE THE WORLDS… He also says, “In the beginning, Lord, YOU LAID THE FOUNDATIONS OF THE EARTH, AND THE HEAVENS ARE THE WORK OF YOUR HANDS.” (Hebrews 1:1-2, 10)
I chose these three scriptures to show that the SON OF GOD was responsible for all creation! So, how did Jesus do all this? Notice how it says, “In the beginning was the WORD” then “and THE WORD WAS GOD.” Verifying the trinity, GOD THE FATHER GOD THE SON, GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT! Many have other ideas about this but, “And it happened in the baptizing of all the people, JESUS ALSO BEING BAPTIZED, AND PRAYING, and the HEAVEN WAS OPENED. And THE HOLY SPIRIT CAME DOWN in a bodily shape, like a dove on Him. And a voice came from Heaven (God the Father), which said, “YOU ARE MY SON, THE BELOVED; I AM DELIGHTED IN YOU.” (Luke 3:21-22)
“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth…GOD SAID, “LET THERE BE LIGHT.” And there was light.” (Genesis 1:1-3) So, How did the Light get created? GOD SAID, what came out of His mouth? THE WORD, and from the beginning Who is THE WORD? “In the beginning was THE WORD…AND THE WORD BECAME FLESH (Jesus was born) and dwelt among us, and we have seen His glory, glory as of THE ONLY SON from the Father, full of grace and truth.” (John 1:1, 14)
WE ARE SO BLESSED TO HAVE THE WORD OF GOD LIVING IN US.
